ABOUT CAROUSEL CARE
OUR MISSION
To provide education, increase awareness, and engage those impacted by the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in advocacy about FAMILY MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS IN THE NICU.
OUR TEAM

Our team came together through the American Academy of Pediatrics Trainees and Early Career Neonatologists (AAP TECaN) to create this content. To deliver thorough information, we purposely recruited a multi-disciplinary team of experts including neonatologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, maternal-fetal medicine obstetricians, child life specialists, social workers, and the premier expert - NICU parents.
OUR GOALS
KNOW: Equip NICU team members with knowledge to be able to recognize family mental health and wellness needs,
FEEL: so that staff feel empowered to help families with wellness and mental health needs,
DO: to be able to advocate for families and connect them with mental health and wellness resources in a timely and effective manner.
